Installation of Silent systems

We have been among the first to install Silent systems on pianos since 1997, when the technology of such systems was still in its infancy.

Installing Silent systems is not a simple task as it requires a very good knowledge of the piano mechanism and vast experience in tuning.
The companies that manufacture such systems recommend a deviation of about 2 mm in the let off in adjusting the jacks of the machine.

Factory settings include 2-3 mm of let off at the jacks, while Silent manufacturers recommend a minimum of 5 mm.

This difference is perceived by the experienced pianist, with the consequence that the installation of Silent systems is often a deterrent, if accuracy in the feel of the piano is a priority.
On most pianos, the systems we install have minimal deviation from the original factory tuning, which means that the pianist will not notice any difference after installing the Silent system.

This is achieved after many tests during the installation, on our part, of the Silent system.

In most of our installations, the letoff on the 2-3 mm jacks is maintained, i.e. the same as the factory settings.

Then, n very good knowledge of the setting software, guarantees an excellent result.

It is worth noting that we have installed Silent systems on pianos that are even 100 years old.
