The company "piano", from 1996, maintains and repairs pianos for private individuals, students, professional and amateur musicians, conservatories and music schools, hotels, professional venues and concert halls.
With respect for restoration and the principles of restoration of old and historic instruments, with a lot of passion, unparalleled knowledge of the subject and a lot of passion and love for the piano, we offer comprehensive maintenance and repair work for any old or new piano, from its simple periodical maintenance (stringing, tuning, tuning), until its complete reconstruction.
From 2005, we also started them piano sales and imports, always aiming for a quality instrument and not the opportunistic sale of some "goods". This is proven by after sales service and support we have for our customers, even in remote areas, providing technical support and meeting every need of the customer regarding their piano.
History
We continue to repay the trust of our customers...
Policy
The principle that governs our entire journey in the sale, maintenance and repair of pianos is the timeless and not opportunistic treatment of the customer.
It is characteristic that we have stable and satisfied customers since 1996.
A proper piano, if properly tuned, will ensure a more comfortable and accurate tuning on the next visit and this is a win for the customer as well as for us.
If we sell a poor quality piano, or a problem piano, then we ourselves who maintain it, will not be able to do our job properly in terms of maintaining it.
We don't support the logic of becoming a "stringer" or "technician" with a screwdriver and pliers and a cheap string wrench and repairing the piano so that it is "playable".
The piano must be properly strung, properly tuned and tuned and all its moving parts in perfect working order and without damage. This fact ensures durability over time, does not "spoil" the customer's ear and increases the resale value of the instrument.
We support this view by equipping all our workshops with the best and highest quality parts, tools and innovations on the global market.
The same logic prevails in our sales. Both of the piano companies we introduce are benchmarks in their category, and are not the cheap solutions on the market.
Unfortunately, the phrase "Good and cheap" hides pitfalls and cannot be achieved, no matter how much we wish. We completely avoid (unlike the competition) low quality used pianos (of Russian or Chinese origin) preferring to lose the customer, rather than sell a piano that we would not buy for ourselves or our children.
Warranty
We are absolutely sure of the result of our choices, our work and the quality and durability of the materials we use, which is why we are one of the few in Europe to give a five to fifteen year warranty on repair or reconstruction work, depending with the condition and quality of the piano. On every new piano sale, we provide a 15-year warranty, and on every used piano, we give a 5- to 15-year warranty. It is worth noting that the manufacturers of new pianos give a guarantee from 5 to a maximum of 10 years.
The warranty is of course valid if the piano is maintained according to our instructions and by our authorized technician.
Laboratories
Our laboratory in the Peloponnese (Nafplio), is located in an ideal spot with the best possible ideal temperature and humidity values in the Nafplion area. A city with many moisture problems, often destructive to pianos. The workshop is located half inside a rock, thus ensuring the right microclimate for the right conditions for a piano to stay. Special dehumidifiers and permanent air conditioning also help. It is capable of accepting up to two upright pianos for simultaneous rebuilding, or one grand piano.
Our workshops in Athens are in the southern suburbs, in Agios Dimitrios. They can accept up to 3 upright pianos for simultaneous rebuilding, or one grand and one upright.
All our workshops are fully equipped with highly specialized tools and a very satisfactory stock of spare parts for all types of pianos, able to ensure the immediate repair of a piano, without delays.
With respect for the environment, in all our workshops, all materials are fully recycled.
More specifically:
- Paper and plastic recycling of spare parts packaging.
- Unnecessary pieces of wood, or sawdust, go to make biomass.
- The plastic parts of the keys we replace are completely recycled, although for ecological reasons as well as aesthetics, we choose to keep the ivory keys, polishing and bleaching them.
- Metals from the replacement of metal parts of old pianos are recycled, namely:
- Steel piano keys
- Old strings
- Copper winding of old strings
- Brass parts such as pedals, hinges, wheels, etc
- We offer the possibility to collect your old piano and disassemble it for FREE, taking all the parts to the appropriate recycling units.
